Amina grew up learning about hair from her mother, one of Senegal’s most preeminent natural hairstylists who styled at Daba Plus Salon. At this point, she has accumulated over 15 years of professional experience across the nation. Wanting to bring the original Salon Daba’s high level of skill and quality to her community, Amina opened her doors to educate people on hair care and provide them with exceptional natural styles while also donating to educational awareness about the environment. All are welcome to get braids, freshen up their locs, or receive a customized scalp treatment at our Remedy Bar. Salon Daba is driven by a passion for the art of hairstyling, environmental stewardship, and a commitment to carrying on the legacy of Amina’s mother. The purpose of Salon Daba is to generate funds to donate to Seneco, an organization committed to providing youth a "Green" education. Seneco teaches children about our environment and the importance of eco-friendly practices. Their goal is to achieve environmental sustainability and better health in Senegal. To help accomplish this purpose, we donate 15% of all profits directly to Seneco. We are proud to make a difference and we hope our customers are too.
