Aloe Vera

Detangling

Hair Porosity

The hair's ability to absorb and retain moisture. Categories include low, normal, and high porosity.

Interlocking

A technique used to maintain dreadlocks by pulling the ends of the locs through the roots to tighten them.

LOC Method

A method of moisturizing hair using liquid, oil, and cream to retain moisture in natural hair.

Loc Maintenance

Regular upkeep to keep locs neat and healthy, including retwisting, interlocking, and moisturizing.

Protective Styling

Hairstyles that protect the ends of the hair from damage, such as braids, twists, and updos.

Retwist

The process of re-twisting the roots of locs to keep them neat and maintain their structure.

Shea Butter

A natural fat extracted from the nut of the African shea tree, used for its moisturizing properties.

Shrinkage

The tendency of natural hair to appear shorter than it actually is due to its curly or coily nature.

Transitioning

The process of growing out chemically treated hair to return to its natural texture.
